Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell is asking for the community’s help in locating an unidentified woman who stole more than $800 through an appliance refund.
The report said on January 5 a Smoaks woman purchased a stove and refrigerator from Lowe’s in Orangeburg.
According to Ravenell, the woman pictured in the surveillance photos went to Lowes in Orangeburg and canceled the purchase of a Smoaks woman’s stove. The store refunded the suspect $826.84 in cash.
On January 11, when the Lowe’s employees delivered only the refrigerator the victim was informed of the refund issued on the stove, the report stated.
Anyone with information concerning the identity and whereabouts of the woman in the surveillance images is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
