The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying three people of interest who may have been involved in an assault that started at a local nightclub.

Authorities say on Oct. 27, around 2 a.m. a 22-year-old South Carolina State University student was assaulted following an argument over a beer that was spilled inside Club Faces.

The report said after the student was kicked out of the nightclub for fighting, the three suspects followed him outside where they began assaulting him.

Police say the victim ran next door to Henry’s Travel Center with the three individuals chasing him. The victim jumped over a counter but was eventually cornered in a back storage room where he was assaulted and robbed, the report stated

Authorities released surveillance photos taken from the Henry’s Travel Center where the assault occurred.
