Robbie Barnett, associate vice president of Workforce, Education, and Manufacturing Policy with the South Carolina State Chamber of Commerce will join the list of prominent executive speakers at SC State University. Barnett will speak on the topic: “The Role of Business and Government in Workforce Readiness,” on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at noon in Belcher Hall’s fourth floor auditorium.

SC State University Alumnus to Receive 2nd Star,

 

 

The secretary of defense for the United States, Chuck Hagel has announced the promotion of Brig. Gen. Stephen M. Twitty to the rank of Maj. Gen. in the United States Army.  A veteran of three wars, Twitty is currently serving in Afghanistan on his fifth overseas combat tour.  His previous combat deployments include three tours in Iraq and a tour in Kuwait.

On Friday, March 22, at 7 p.m. SC State University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present a music recital that will feature a wide selection of vocal and instrumental music performed by the faculty and students of SC State. 

The recital will be held at the Dr. Barbara A. Vaughan Fine Arts Recital Hall.

This event is free and open to the public.
