Trustees OK SC State administrative restructuring | News
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina State University President Thomas Elzey's plans to restructure the administration are taking effect.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports the university trustees approved the plan Thursday to create several new positions.
The plan calls for adding a provost, who would report to the president and be in charge of all academics the historically black school. Two associate provost positions are also being created.
Elzey says the new posts should not increase the budget. He says the reorganization is designed to get people with the right skills in the right jobs.
