Orangeburg woman killed while trying to cross road | News
ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - An Orangeburg woman was killed while trying to cross U.S. 301 Tuesday night.
The Orangeburg County Coroner identified the woman as 45-year-old Clayrothea Polite.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says Polite was attempting to Cross U.S. 301at about 10:15 p.m. when she was hit by a southbound SUV. Polite died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
