Casting Call: Film company looking for “Prison Types” for new series | News

HBO/CINEMAX will be filming in the Columbia area for four days in July and they are seeking extras for an upcoming series.
Tona B Dahlquist Casting, the casting company which handled projects such as
"The Hunger Games", "Forrest Gump" and currently handles the new Cinemax TV series "Banshee", the new award winning Showtime series "Homeland" and the feature Film "Caged " are looking for males of all ethnic descents, 18 years of age and older to portray prison types.
The film crew will begin preparation at the Broad River Corrections facility on July 19th and 20th, and shooting will take place July 23-26th.
During the shoot, the cast and crew will be staying at local hotels and eating at local restaurants, and the Department of Corrections will be paid a location fee for the use of their facilities.
Duane Parrish, SCPRT director, said, "Thanks to the special assistance of the
Department of Corrections, our South Carolina Film Commission and HBO/Cinemax will be bringing a major cast, crew and significant spending into the Midlands for a week of location shooting at the end of July." Parrish added that this opportunity came about, not because of any special incentives, "but because of the unique location and cooperation provided by our sister agency, Corrections."
