SC State University Accounting Graduates Pursue International Experiences

As South Carolina State University (SC State) prepares for Spring Commencement Convocation on Friday, May 4, 2012, the anticipation and excitement amongst graduates is heightening.  Not only are they making plans for the summer, but many have already secured spots in top graduate schools across the nation.

Bria Brimmer, an accounting major from Austin, Texas, is ready to embark on a new experience.  In the fall of 2012, she will begin pursuing her masters’ degree in Finance at the Hult International Business School in London, England.  Hult’s business school is ranked by Financial Times as one of the top 100 business schools in the world and ranks first in international experience.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to study abroad in a diverse program,” shares Brimmer.  “I believe I have been well prepared for this experience. The program offers a unique opportunity to see the world while studying.”

Brimmer, a member of the SC State’s Women’s Volleyball team, will receive honors as the top ranking senior in accounting with an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.8.

Nicole Anderson, an accounting major from Miami, Fla., will make her way to Niagara Fall, N.Y. in the fall to pursue her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in International Business from Niagara Fall University.

Anderson is very excited about this venture and says “the international business program will compliment my accounting degree and enhance my opportunity to work for a global corporation.”

Brimmer and Anderson are members of the Beta Alpha Psi Honor society for accounting and finance majors.
