American Red Cross Partners with Columbia City Ballet for Second Annual Dracula Blood Drive | Events
This Halloween season, the American Red Cross is partnering with Columbia City Ballet for the second annual Dracula blood drive Friday, Oct. 7, from 1-6 p.m. aboard a blood mobile outside the Columbia City Ballet studio, 1545 Main St.
All presenting donors will receive a voucher redeemable for the purchase of up to six half-price tickets to the performance of their choice for this year’s production of Dracula: Ballet with a Bite. Presenting donors will also have a chance to register for the Dracula grand prize giveaway, including a pair of VIP tickets to a Dracula performance of their choice, an overnight stay at Hilton Columbia in the Vista and a $75 gift certificate from Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
To schedule an appointment to donate, please visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: Dracula or call 803-312-5609.
Of course, Count Dracula is not the only one who needs your blood this Halloween. Regular blood donations are needed to maintain a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in our local hospitals. Blood can be safely donated every 56 days. Most healthy people age 17 and older, 16 with parental consent, who weigh at least 110 pounds, are eligible to donate blood and platelets. Donors who are 18 and younger must also meet specific height and weight requirements.
