Furry Friend: Ranger | Events
Hi there! My name is RANGER and I have a pretty upsetting story...One morning the employees for PAWMETTO LIFELINE came to work and there I was...tied to the pole by the front door. I was left there with a note from my previous owners. They said they could no longer take care of me...I really didn't think I deserved this...Thank goodness PAWMETTO LIFELINE took me in.
They could tell I was an outside dog wasn't taken care of because I have heartworms. Luckily, I have been through the treatment, so now all that is left is to recheck four months from now to makes sure they are all gone!
When I first got to the shelter I did alright. However, stress has begun to set in...Since I have been here over NINETY DAYS I have became VERY stressed out...I am losing weight and I don't do well in my cage.
However, when I am outside or in a larger space I am the perfect dog!! The kennel staff here say I am very smart and I listen and learn very quickly too. I do perfectly fine whenever I am around people and not stuck in a crate. I already know how to sit and shake on command. One of my favorite things to do is play fetch! Oh man, I could do that all day! And this is a great way to burn some of my energy. I do get along with other dogs; however I can be a little overbearing at first, so I need some work with that. Oh and my other favorite things are...TOYS!
I will play with any and every one you give me. Everyone here at the shelter thinks that's just plain adorable. As for the leash walking, I am almost perfect with that too! But, when I see something I want I will try and go after it so I may need a little work.
With all this being said, all I really want is someone to take me home and show me all the love and attention a guy like me deserves! I would be a loving and VERY loyal companion. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micro-chipped.
