Man accused of trying to light girlfriend on fire with rubbing alcohol | Crime
ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - An Orangeburg man is charged with domestic violence after sheriff's deputies say he tried to light his girlfriend on fire.
Deputies charged 33-year-old Terrence Germaine Glenn with criminal domestic violence Tuesday after they were called to the home he shared with his girlfriend on Trebie Rd.
The girlfriend told deputies during a physical argument, Glenn poured rubbing alcohol on her and lit it with a lighter. She said she managed to remove the burning shirt and ran from the house.
Deputies say the woman was taken to the Augusta Burn Center with what doctors described as first and second-degree burns on her neck, torso and arms.
Glenn told deputies he was using the alcohol to treat a bruise on the victim and it caught fire when he was playing with a lighter.
