Domestic call leads deputies to moonshine still | Crime
HOLLY HILL, SC (WIS) - Orangeburg County Sheriff's Deputies responding to a domestic violence call say they found a moonshine still in Holly Hill.
Deputies were called to the home on Dawson Street Thursday and found the still in a wooded area behind the house. Among the items found at the still, deputies say they found three jugs of clear shine.
Deputies say they also saw 35-year-old Davon Andrea Robinson take some items from his car. After searching the car, deputies found a five-gallon jug of moonshine. Robinson told investigators a large amount of sugar found in the back of a pickup truck was "Left over from church."
Robinson is charged with unlawful sale, manufacture of alcohol, unlawful manufacture, transfer or possession of distillery, mash or similar materials on premises. A bond hearing is scheduled for Saturday morning.
