Sheriff: Burglary suspects’ vehicle gets stuck in yard while trying to flee scene | Crime
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell is asking for the community’s help in locating an Orangeburg man wanted in three separate burglaries dating back to January 22.
The report said 19-year-old Jahware Ebdule Kimbrough is wanted in three burglaries over a 15 mile radius in 6 days.
According to Ravenell, the homeowner discovered Kimbrough and an unidentified co-defendant at his home on January 28.
Kimbrough and his co-defendant pointed a gun at the homeowner, who was blocking the escape vehicle in his yard, the report stated.
The thieves tried to escape in the vehicle but got stuck in the yard, so they jumped out the car and ran into the woods, Ravenell said.
“Our investigation indicates Kimbrough has stolen sneakers, jewelry, an antique rifle, and money,” said Ravenell. “We know Kimbrough and his unidentified co-defendant had a weapon during the robberies on January 28. We hope the community can help us locate Kimbrough and help his identify the second person responsible in these burglaries before they hurt someone or get hurt themselves.”
This investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about Kimbrough or his co-defendant is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
