Report: Man robbed, jumped while playing golf | Crime

The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety is searching for four suspects they say robbed and assaulted a man on a golf course.

The report said on January 18, officers were dispatched to Hillcrest Golf Course in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers met with the 21-year-old victim who stated while he was playing golf, four black males approached him asking for the time, according to the report.

The victim told the suspects that he did not have a watch or cell phone on him.

Authorities say one of the suspects then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, while the other men surrounded him.

One of the suspects then struck the victim in the face with the gun, causing him to fall to the ground, the report stated.

The men began searching the victim’s pockets. The suspects then began kicking and hitting the victim, according to the report.

Authorities say the four men took the victim’s cell phone and a pair of Oakley sunglasses, and fled the scene towards the wood line area.
