Sheriff: 'Any grown man that hits a child for a video game needs to be put in jail' | Crime
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office located five stolen computer printers while searching for a man they say robbed a teen for a video game system.
The report said officers attempted to locate 28-year-old Adriel Morgan at a Harper Street address on Tues., Nov. 20.
Upon arrival, the homeowner told the officers she kicked Morgan out of her house several months ago, deputies say.
When officers searched the home for Morgan, they observed two printers still in the boxes in the living room and three more in a back bedroom closet, the report stated.
Investigators say the printers were stolen from Wal-Mart sometime this year.
According to sheriff’s deputies, Morgan is wanted in the October 24 strong armed robbery of a 16-year-old male for his Playstation Vita game system.
Deputies say Morgan approached the victim, talked with him briefly, and hit him in the face while stealing his game.
“Any grown man that will hit a child in the face for a video game needs to be put in jail,” said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. “This is truly a senseless act.”
Additional warrants are pending.
