Sheriff: Man arrested after receiving 70 lbs. of marijuana in mail | Crime

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he received a shipment of marijuana in the mail.

According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 53-year-old Lawrence Allen Irick was arrested on Friday following an ongoing multiagency investigation into marijuana trafficking in Orangeburg County.

Deputies say two packages of marijuana totaling 70 pounds were delivered to Irick’s Russell Street address.

“I am not the mail man but there are some packages I will delivery, and this is one of them,” said Ravenell.
