Deputies seize more than a pound of marijuana in traffic stop | Crime
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Bowman man and seized more than a pound of marijuana following a traffic stop.
According to deputies, officers observed a Ford Escape make two traffic violations before a traffic stop was initiated. The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket.
After consent to search, deputies say 596 grams (1 pound 5.02 ounces) of marijuana was located inside the vehicle.
The passenger, 39-year-old Phillip W. Scott told officers that the narcotics belonged to him, according to deputies.
Scott was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
