Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announces his agency is hosting a training for more than 30 law enforcement professionals from across South Carolina on missing and exploited child investigations.

 

Ravenell explains “After participating in a law enforcement executive training seminar on missing and exploited children, I felt it paramount to bring this training to Orangeburg County. The information shared during my training was enlightening and needed to be brought to this area for other agencies to improve their responses and investigations.

It’s one of the region’s most-anticipated festivals each year, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of the Mann-Simons family. Historic Columbia Foundation’s 34th annual Jubilee: Festival of Heritage will be held on August 18, 2012 at the Mann-Simons Site (1601 Richland Street) in Columbia, SC.  The festival is free and open to the public, running from 11 am – 5 pm.

Wells Fargo Stagecoach Arrives to Announce Border to Border Hunger Challenge

On Tuesday, May 22 the South Carolina Food Bank Association (SCFBA) will hold a press event at 10:30 am to announce the Border to Border Hunger Challenge sponsored by Wells Fargo. The event at 10:30 am at 2220 Shop Road in Columbia will announce the $150,000 campaign to reduce childhood and family hunger across our entire state during the summer.
