June 13 - 17, the UniverSoul Circus will return to Columbia with a big top thrill-ride infused with an unparalleled global mix of circus artistry, music, dance and style – all inspired by reflections of the world around US.

The UniverSoul Circus 2012 production entitled “US” – featuring Shaolin Kung Fu acrobats from China, bone-breaking contortionists with a hop-hop flair from Guinea, hilarious acrobatic comedy from South Africa, and pro-style hip hop dancers from the United States – will be performing in Columbia in the parking lot Benedict College Football Stadium

A 54-year old bridge in Richland County carrying more than half a million vehicles a week is rated South Carolina’s top substandard bridge for the eleventh time, according to AAA Carolinas.

Felton Laboratory School, a public elementary school located on the campus of SC State University (SC State) will host its 2012 Spring Extravaganza. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Faculty, staff and the Orangeburg community are encouraged to come join the fun.
